Mónica, originally from Spain and now residing in Vancouver, has been passionate about the arts since childhood, starting her painting training at the age of six. Her early exposure to classical techniques set the foundation for her career, later solidified through formal studies and recognition at Artecal in 1997 as one of the most promising young artists of her generation.

Mónica's career spans various artistic disciplines, including photography, sculpture, printmaking, and mural painting. She spent 12 years in the fashion industry, before transitioning to animation. With over 15 years of experience as a freelance director of cinematic lighting, she has collaborated with major companies such as Disney, Skydance, Warner Bros, Paramount, Netflix, and Amazon.

Her work in animation blends creativity with cutting-edge technology, and her passion for visual storytelling led her to specialize in film development and lighting direction. Throughout it all, Mónica has remained committed to art, using it to express her creative sensitivity. Her work, exploring the human condition and existential themes, has been exhibited in galleries and museums across Spain and Portugal.
